This brief required creating a branded podcast series for a brand assigned to you. I was assigned the brand Vicks. I originated a unique idea for the podcast that aligns with the brand and also researched an appropriate target audience suitable for the podcast. I was required to write a script for the trailer and record it. Afterward, I presented this idea to the client, explaining the benefits of having this podcast for the brand, and how relevant the podcast series would be for the target audience.
Persuasive writing required learning and writing long copy to engage with the audience of a brand of your choice. This brief involved studying how to optimize copy using SEO techniques. Afterward creating a blog post and email content for the brand, which will drive customers to the website using best practices and knowledge acquired during the online study. Also considering the target audience of the brand and what type of content they would engage more with.

Community management helps a brand to build authentic relationships with their audience and this brief required engaging with the audience of a brand. The brand assigned to me for this brief is Woolworths and this brief goes into two parts. The first part entails planning an online community activity that the target audience for the brand will be actively involved in. The second part of the brief involves creating a post that encourages engagement with the audience. This second post goes on to the student forum where a fellow student comments with a query and I respond to their query considering brand tone.
For this brief, I was required to choose or come up with my own brand and create a podcast or video series for the brand. I created my own brand for this brief and produced a video series. I was required to create an overall branding, what they do, the target market for the brand, their mission and values, the social media platforms they use, and why it is appropriate for the brand. The video series includes one trailer and two episodes with a YouTube channel where the series will be posted.

Digital marketing strategy involves developing a plan for a small local brand with minimal digital presence and build up their online presence. I was required to create a three weeks content plan for the brand and create three social media pages that are appropriate for the brand and its target market. I took photographs representing the offering of the brand and wrote copy accompanying the images that go on the social media platforms created.
I also created a website for the brand, for content that encourages engagement and a contact page. Then I had to pitch this strategy to the client, explaining why this brand needs a digital presence.
