About me

Self Initiated

The sexual education has changed over the past decade with new laws being placed to accomadate same-sex couples and radically changing views as our world becomes more open to those who embrace different identities.

Technology has become a source fro filling in the gaps left by sparse sex education curriculum. It encourages more sex-positive conversations, encouraging teenagers to seek advice from factual sources and professionals when they want infromation, and in a way that they want it. Sexopedia is a platform to reshape sex education for the modern world. Challenging the stigma of sex, love, health and relationships, Sexopedia aims to provide a platform for young adults to start the conversation.

Advanced Type And Layout

COVID -19 is a current issue we are facing globally. Through the creation of typography and the use of editorial pieces we are able to spread more light on the topic.

United but Distant is a zine targeted towards the population of Italy between the ages of 20-30 years targeting the older grandchildren. My zine covers topics such as the importance of social distancing, removal of tangible signs of affection alternative greetings, staying connected with family and how to deal with the death of a loved one.

The idea of my zine and typeface is based on the idea of being together virtually but apart physically. Both my typeface and zine emphasis the theme of virtual connection.

3D Packaging

Students were tasked with creating a care package for a disease. I chose depression and targeted females between 16 – 19 years in disadvantaged communities using. I chose to take a more natural route and took the concept of green therapy into the hands of those who are battling with depression.

I created a zero waste compost bin that doubles as a planter where they can grow their own vegetables to assist with a healthier lifestyle.

The box used fro the care package doubles as the composter making everything in the box biodegradable or compostable. There is a mood journal for them to track the growth and harvesting of their plants as well as they can track their mood and write down any of their thoughts and feelings.

Corporate Identity

A local small town or rural area is looking to identify a brand new cultural event that will showcase its uniqueness.

Kwasa meaning rising sun in Zulu relates to Langa as a township as its name itself means sun. Kwasa Fest is a music festival hosted in the heart of Langa featuring all local musicians.

Through the use of bright colours and live music Kwasa Fest aims to bring more Cape Townians to the township. to share their uniqueness and break down the stereotypes associated with our local townships.

Brand Challenge

A group of students were tasked to help Zip Zap generate more funds and show that are more than just a circus through the success stories of their students.

As a team we created a type driven campaign that focused on breaking circus myths. This was achieved through the use of classic circus type with a complimentary colour palette to great the vintage circus look and feel through the use of texture.

This campaign aims to be broadcasted across multiple touchpoint such as Facebook, Instagram, Bizcommunity, Youtube Advertisements, street posters and magazines.
