I create to celebrate life: to celebrate the earth in all her forms and to celebrate love, however it chooses to manifest. I like to visually break things down to their simplest forms and colours to draw attention to the simple pleasures of existence. My design aesthetic alludes to the past, honoring the creatives that came before me but grounds itself in the present, acknowlaging newness and what is to come.

Motherland: Celebrating the women who are raising the nation’s people. This illustrated merchandise was created to shine a light on the mothers of South Africa. 40% of children in South Africa are raised by single mothers. The mothers of this country are raising the nation’s people. The intention of Motherland is not to raise funding but rather to celebrate the mothers of South African children. This campaign was designed to be in association with The Clothing Bank, an NGO empowering South African women and mostly mothers.

Humans are not essential to Earth’s existence, but merely a small, momentary element in the process of evolution: in my take on Posthumanism, nature reclaims the Earth. ‘Flip Your Tits’ is a protest campaign in reaction to Instagram’s censorship regulations which forbid photographs of female nipples on the platform. These regulations are indicative of the systemic sexism which exists in today’s western society. The core need is for there to be away for women to make their own choices regarding the exposure of their nipples. FLIP YOUR TITS encourages women to take back the control that Instagram’s censorship regulations prohibit. It aims to encourage women to take up the space they want to take up, if they can’t on Instagram then do it in real life.
