Brandon Eadie

DIGITAL DESIGNER | ILLUSTRATOR | GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Hi there! My name is Brandon Eadie. I’m a 3rd-year digital design major, and am about to finally complete my BA in Visual Communication after three sleepless years of hard work.

I specialise in motion graphics, animation and video editing. Creating things that excite me pushes me to be a better creative! Outside of design, music has made the most impact on my life. Design and music are a match made in heaven, and I want to find ways to combine them in perfect harmony.

Basically, I just wanna make some cool sh*t and make an impact!

About me

Self Initiated Brief: The Sound

The problem that The Sound aims to solve is that beginner and intermediate guitarists stunt their growth by spending too much time trying to be like their musical heroes, instead of discovering what makes them unique.

The majority of new guitarists are learning by themselves through online platforms, opting for a more informal way of learning. But no one wants to come down on them and say: “No! Read this book on guitar theory!” Because that’s lame as hell! So rather, The Sound encourages you to find your unique sound by providing you with a platform that creates thousands of different guitar equipment combinations based on your guitar taste!

Looped

Looped is a sustainable casual wear label, specialising in knitwear, which combines pure wool and recycled yarn to make items that remind families of the value of nostalgic clothing.

The goal of this campaign was to get young families who crave nostalgia, to connect with the Looped narrative, which treasures memories, by sustainably producing high-quality knitwear which is crafted for connection.

Disclaimer: This project was completed at the beginning of lockdown, so the footage featured in this project is all found media.

CTSC

The Cape Town Science Centre strives to teach the youth of South Africa the magical world of science and technology!

This project entailed creating an event-driven campaign to create more exposure and traffic for the NPO, to allow them to achieve their goals.

Zip Zap

The goal of this campaign was to show that the Zip Zap Circus is more than just a place where people learn how to juggle.

It is, in fact, a magical place that teaches people crucial life skills that create a better community for all South Africans.

Encounters

The worst thing when going to a movie theatre is having some idiot in the front on their phone. But this brief encouraged that behaviour! We want you to turn on your phone during the movie!

This project focused on creating a solution for the Encounters Film Festival that promotes people to use their phones as a way to enhance their experience.

My solution was based on the fact that no one can go to the movies during lockdown – so why not bring the movies to you!
